Anyone can start doing this by joining others in classes so that they would be able to learn more about the proper ways of doing it. Ask the preparations they have gone through in being a yoga instructor which includes the education they have gotten. This could either formal education or not but great teachers can come from either of them as long as a clear answer will be given that shows their skills and knowledge. Being unable to answer clearly is a sign for you to start searching another one.

Try out first some beginner classes so you will learn different basic concepts which may not be available in other exercises. Other students are the same as you so you would feel comfortable about almost knowing nothing. Try different classes too so you would find the class as well as instructor you like that could help in achieving enlightenment.
